Advice for Brides

The royal wedding is here and everyone is in a frenzy! Even if you aren’t literally marrying a prince, every bride wants to feel like a princess on her big day. Here are some quick and easy tips to keep your day running smoothly:

• Keep lips soft using your toothbrush with a mixture of sugar, honey and olive oil. Create a paste and gently massage in a circular motion for 1 minute. Olive oil is well-known for its moisturizing properties, while honey contains mild alpha-hydroxy acids to aid the sugar in exfoliation. Ready to kiss the bride?
• Don’t let a spill ruin your dress! Keep an alcohol-based hairspray on hand and quickly saturate wine, lipstick, or ink marks. The stain will attract to the microbeads of the hairspray. As the spray dries the molecular chains connect, the spray becomes stiff, and the stain will evaporate before your eyes.
• Avoid using a moisturizer with SPF- it can create an unflattering ghostly white cast on your skin under flash photography.
• Waterproof makeup is your best friend- even if you aren’t typically the crying type. There will be a lot of emotions through the day and you never know! Groomsmen will stay polished with a dab of concealer and a swipe of translucent powder.
• Make fragrance last all day by applying to pulse-points fresh out of the shower while skin is still damp. This will help the essential oils present in the perfume readily absorb into your skin.
